Recently released congressional documents reveal that many prominent figures who publicly minimized their connections to Jeffrey Epstein maintained far more extensive relationships than previously acknowledged. Over 8,000 pages of detailed calendars, daily schedules, and flight manifests offer an unprecedented glimpse into the disgraced financier’s social network and habits in the years leading up to his 2019 arrest on sex trafficking charges.
The records show that several high-profile individuals continued spending significant time with Epstein even as accusations against him intensified following his controversial 2008 plea deal in Florida, which allowed him to largely maintain his privileged lifestyle despite serious allegations. The documents span through 2019, with the final two years of Epstein’s life revealing a calendar that remained remarkably full of meetings with powerful figures right up until federal agents closed in.
While the exact nature of these relationships proves difficult to characterize from schedules alone, the sheer volume and frequency of contact paints a picture of Epstein as a prolific networker whose life extended well beyond his criminal activities. His world encompassed complex financial dealings and philanthropic ventures that would have naturally attracted many high-level contacts seeking business opportunities or funding.

Among the most striking revelations concerns filmmaker Woody Allen, who appears in the documents nearly 100 times between 2014 and 2019. Allen and his wife, Soon-Yi Previn, emerge as some of Epstein’s most regular social companions during this period. The records show Epstein frequently visited the Manhattan Film Center on Park Avenue to screen Allen’s films or watch him edit. Allen provided film editing lessons to Epstein and others, according to calendar entries. The trio traveled together at least nine times, including trips to Epstein’s ranch in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and his Palm Beach, Florida residence.
Their social calendar was remarkably varied. Epstein visited film sets where Allen was directing in New York and Rhode Island. There was even a scheduled Valentine’s Day dinner in Paris. The calendar notes a planned visit to artist Jeff Koons’ studio in New Jersey, though Koons later stated this visit never occurred. Their final dinner together took place on May 9, 2019, with guests including Kathryn Ruemmler and another person. Two months later, Epstein was arrested at Teterboro Airport. Allen’s spokesperson previously told the Wall Street Journal that Allen never had business meetings with Epstein and never spent time with him without his wife present, but declined to provide additional comment about the recent calendar entries.
Sources familiar with the flight logs revealed that some flights with Allen and Previn also included names of known victims who frequently traveled with Epstein, though these passenger names are redacted in the released documents. No allegations have been made that Allen or Previn knew about or were involved in any wrongdoing. In interviews, Allen has stated that Epstein always had girlfriends around him, but he did not believe these women were underage.
Another prominent figure who appears repeatedly in Epstein’s schedule is Kathryn Ruemmler, currently the chief legal officer and general counsel at Goldman Sachs, who previously served as President Barack Obama’s White House counsel. During the period she spent time with Epstein, Ruemmler was a partner at the law firm Latham & Watkins. The calendars show more than 50 scheduled meetings between them, including appointments in Paris and St. Lucia, and gatherings with some of the world’s wealthiest and most powerful individuals, including tech billionaire Peter Thiel, Bill Gates, former Senator Bob Kerrey, and Steve Bannon.

Ruemmler has stated she regrets ever knowing Jeffrey Epstein. A Goldman Sachs spokesperson explained that Ruemmler had a professional relationship with Epstein, noting he referred business to her and they shared a common client that originated as an Epstein referral. The spokesperson denied that Ruemmler ever flew with Epstein or met with him outside the United States. One curious calendar entry from February 6, 2018, notes that “Kathy Ruemmler to have the Glam Squad to her NY apt for 9am,” though it remains unclear why Epstein was recording this apparent hair and makeup appointment. Ruemmler’s last appointments with Epstein occurred on May 6 and 7, 2019.
Epstein’s calendar reveals him as an avid connector of business titans and political figures. He was scheduled to meet with Hyatt executive chairman Tom Pritzker 28 times between 2013 and 2018. His schedule included meetings with Barry Sternlicht, president of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, though a spokesperson for Sternlicht said the meeting never happened and he only attended one group dinner. Billionaire banker Ariane de Rothschild and investor Leon Black also appear in the records.
Political figures feature prominently as well. The late New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson maintained contact with Epstein at least through September 19, 2016, when they were scheduled to meet for dinner. Richardson appears on both Epstein’s calendar and flight logs showing travel to Epstein’s New Mexico ranch. A previously unreported log reveals that Richardson traveled in 2011 on Epstein’s helicopter from the British Virgin Islands to the U.S. Virgin Islands. That flight also listed Brian Condit, Richardson’s chief of staff, as well as three of Epstein’s alleged victims identified by the House Oversight Committee. Condit stated the helicopter flight was from Richard Branson’s island to the U.S. Virgin Islands and that they did not visit Epstein’s private property there. Richardson died at age 75 in 2023.
Steve Bannon, former White House chief strategist in the first Trump administration, appears in Epstein’s appointment calendar, though no specific purpose is noted for their meetings. Bannon has since disclosed that he filmed hours of interviews with Epstein for a planned documentary. Sources close to Epstein in his final weeks said the financier was eager to portray himself in a redemptive light. Even in April 2019, just three months before his arrest, Epstein’s calendar remained packed with meetings involving Ruemmler, Bannon, investment banker and commentator Robert Kuhn, and self-help guru Deepak Chopra.
Epstein maintained a deep fascination with medicine, science, and longevity, both personally and professionally. Records show he had planned as early as 2012 to launch a company focused on gene sequencing. Chopra, the physician and prominent integrative medicine advocate, appears in Epstein’s calendar at least a dozen times in 2016, 2017, and 2019. They were scheduled to meet one-on-one on some occasions, including at least one appointment in Paris in November 2016, and in groups on other dates.
In a statement, Chopra explained that Jeffrey Epstein was introduced to him by Barnaby Marsh, former CEO of the Templeton Foundation, as someone who could potentially fund research on the brain and consciousness. Their appointments primarily related to treatment for Epstein’s struggles with insomnia. Chopra explained that after meeting, Epstein expressed interest in learning meditation, which Chopra taught him. Their meetings, focused solely on practicing meditation, lasted about 30 minutes each. At Chopra’s suggestion, Epstein also visited a brain research lab at the University of California San Diego. While several institutions had received funding from Epstein, no projects were ever initiated as a result of their interactions. Epstein later introduced Chopra to someone at the MIT Media Lab in Cambridge, Massachusetts, but ultimately no research project was pursued.

Epstein’s difficulty sleeping is documented in jail records from the weeks before his death, where he was provided a sleep apnea breathing device by the facility. The calendars also show repeated meetings with Dr. Peter Attia, a doctor specializing in longevity whose books have sold millions of copies. Later appointments suggest Epstein became Attia’s patient, with schedule notations for blood draws and follow-ups over several years. Attia was also scheduled to attend what appears to be a business meeting with a medical entrepreneur and an investor associated with the Harvard Corporation, the powerful board that runs the university.
The documents paint a complex picture of a man who successfully cultivated relationships with celebrities, business leaders, politicians, and thought leaders, many of whom continued these associations even as serious allegations swirled around him. Film screenings appear frequently on his calendar, with Epstein both attending them and inviting friends to watch movies in his home screening room. The records reveal a lifestyle of constant engagement with the elite, mixing social gatherings with business dealings and what appear to be genuine interests in film, science, and medicine, all continuing virtually unabated until his final arrest in July 2019.
