Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s son Rocky Thirteen celebrated his second birthday on Saturday, November 1, with loving tributes from his family marking the special milestone. The toddler, who was born in November 2023, is the first child together for the Lemme founder and the Blink-182 drummer, who married in 2022.
Travis Barker, 49, shared a touching tribute on Instagram to honor his youngest son’s birthday. The post featured a photo of Rocky wearing a jersey with the number 13 and a backwards cap, perfectly fitting for the little one whose middle name pays homage to that lucky number. “Happy Birthday my Rocky 13 🖤. You’re such a special soul, and you make every day brighter. I love you,” Barker wrote. He continued with a playful nod to Rocky’s interests, adding, “No one’s cooler. Guitars, drums, pirates, boom boom pow and Angus Young forever 🎸🥁🏴☠️ 🥊.”
The birthday boy’s aunt Khloé Kardashian joined in the celebration, commenting on Barker’s post with enthusiasm: “Happy birthday to the cutest!!!!! Rocky!!!!!!! 🩵🩵🩵.”

Kourtney, 46, and Barker first introduced Rocky to the world through Instagram about a month after his birth, sharing photos with the simple caption “ROCKY 🖤.” Since then, the couple has been thoughtful about how they share their son with the public, a decision that has occasionally sparked commentary on social media.
The couple’s blended family now includes seven children between them. Kourtney is also mother to Mason, 15, Penelope, 13, and Reign, 10, whom she shares with ex Scott Disick. Barker brings three children from his previous marriage to Shanna Moakler: son Landon, 22, daughter Alabama, 19, and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya, 26.
Earlier this month, Kourtney subtly addressed criticism about her decision to keep Rocky’s face private on social media. After posting a photo on Instagram where she covered her youngest son’s face with a jack-o’-lantern emoji to protect his privacy, some commenters questioned why she would share the image at all. “Why cover his face when everyone knows what he looks like,” one user wrote, while another added, “Just weird to me you would even post the picture of just him and block out his face .. just don’t post it at all. So dumb.”
Rather than directly responding to the criticism, Kourtney “liked” a supportive comment from another user who wrote, “This is a sign you care btw,” showing her solidarity with those who understood her choice. Many Instagram users came to The Kardashians star’s defense, with one explaining, “Just because paparazzi doesn’t respect the parents wishes and shows his face doesn’t mean they need to be bullied into posting him. It’s what they want.”
The couple’s approach to sharing Rocky with the world reflects a balance many parents in the public eye struggle to strike—wanting to celebrate their children’s milestones while also maintaining some level of privacy and control over their image. As Rocky turns two, it’s clear that both Kourtney and Travis are committed to protecting their son while still allowing their fans and family to share in the joy of watching him grow. From his apparent love of music and pirates to his special soul that brightens his father’s days, Rocky Thirteen is clearly already making his mark on his famous family’s hearts.
